What is an investment-grade corporate bond ETF?

It holds higher-rated corporate bonds, offering income with moderate credit risk and interest-rate risk.

February 17, 2026

Investment-grade corporate bond ETFs invest in corporate bonds rated BBB-/Baa3 and above. They typically offer higher yields than Treasuries, but you take on corporate credit exposure.

These ETFs can fall when interest rates rise (duration risk) and when credit spreads widen (credit risk), such as during recessions or market stress.

When choosing one, look at duration, credit quality breakdown, and sector exposure. Some funds tilt toward longer maturities or specific issuers, which can change risk meaningfully.
